Scanning
Initial Setup
Define the scanning objectives and boundaries based on the project’s specific needs. Configure the Faro Focus S350 long-range 3D scanner to capture high-resolution spatial data with precision.
Site  Preparation
Ensure the site is accessible and ready for scanning. Set up targets or reference markers as needed to enhance scan accuracy and capture the required data effectively.
Data Acquisition
3D Scanning
Perform 3D scanning using the Faro Focus S350 long-range scanner to capture a comprehensive point cloud of the environment. Scan from multiple positions and angles to ensure full coverage and accurate data collection.
DATA Processing
Validate and process the captured data on-site to ensure completeness and accuracy. Export the point cloud in a suitable format such as e57. Import the raw data into Autodesk Recap Pro, where scans are aligned, merged, and cleaned to remove noise. The processed point cloud is then filtered, refined, and exported in formats such as .rcp and .rcs for further modeling.
LOD 500 Model

The point cloud data is processed and transformed into a precise LOD 500 model, accurately reflecting the project's as-built conditions. This process follows BEP (BIM Execution Plan) guidelines, ensuring smooth integration into BIM platforms.

  • Set Project North: Define the correct orientation for the model.
  • Apply View Templates: Standardize visualization and data structure across the model.
  • Verify Alignment:Check grids, levels, and elements for accuracy.
